ARCH-350 - Architectural Design III

3 credits
This course will introduce students to public and commercial architecture. The course will explore how the needs of the community are met through public buildings such as libraries, schools, and courthouses. Additionally, commercial projects to include restaurants, retail stores and office buildings will be explored. Students will investigate how these spaces could be improved or adapted to better serve the energy concerns of the 21st century. A final commercial or public project to be chosen by the student will include graphic representations, building models, and a written/oral presentation to the class. Two lecture and 3 laboratory hours.
