ACCT-312 - Managerial Accounting

3 credits

This course provides an introduction to the internal uses of accounting for management planning and control. The point of view will be on the use rather than the construction of accounting data. Areas of study include cost concepts and techniques, cost volume-profit analysis, master budgeting, relevant cost analysis, and capital budgeting. In addition, one hour a week will be spent in a microcomputer laboratory completing managerial problems using MS EXCEL. Four lecture hours and one lab hour.
