This transfer option is for students who intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program leading to teacher licensure for Preschool/Kindergarten to Grade 2. This program meets the requirements for the MassTransfer Pathway in Early Childhood Education and will enable students to participate in the Commonwealth Commitment Program.

Program Goals
Successful completion of the STCC Early Childhood Education Program will enable students to: - Demonstrate knowledge regarding all areas of Early Childhood development: cognitive, physical, and affective.
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive curriculum, with the goal of meeting the needs of all learners.
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Recognize and appreciate the role that family and community play in the lives of young children.
- Understand the importance of observation, documentation, and assessment and the part they play in the development of young children.
