CRJ-121 - Criminal Procedures 13 credits To familiarize the student planning a career in law enforcement with the constitutional requirements and safeguards attendant throughout the criminal process, from investigation through arrest interrogation, indictment, trial, and sentencing . Included is an in-depth review of the bill of rights and its influence in modern society. Heavy emphasis is placed on actual case study and review of recent Supreme Court decisions, especially as related to practical situations and problems confronting law enforcement personnel. Selected readings focus on practical application of constitutional principles to practical situations.
