Pre-Engineering and Science Transfer - ENGC.AA

To prepare for a program in Science and Engineering Transfer, you should take a schedule that is based on your STCC Placement Tests results and reflects these course prerequisites. ENGC.AA coursework may also be applied to some Technologies programs, although this should be verified with an advisor.

Your first semester schedule should include:

English and Math

Based on placement test scores, to develop the level of basic skills needed for academic success.

Reading

If you placement score indicates that a developmental reading course is needed.

An introductory level science course that includes a lab (biology, chemistry or physics)

As required by your intended program and based on your academic profile including; high school coursework, completion of prerequisite courses, and placement scores.

Social Science elective or College Success Seminar

A social science elective is required by most programs. College Success Seminar, (COL-101  ), is recommended as preparation for the academic demands of the Transfer programs.

Upon successful completion of requirements for this program, the degree of Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts/General Studies will be awarded.
