PROG-320 - Mobile Programming3 credits This course is an introduction to the various platforms in use for mobile devices. Platforms will include: Apple iOS for iPhone, where students will learn the basics of developing applications for the popular Apple iPhone and review the Objective C programming language; Google Android, where participants will learn the basics of Android Development using the Java Programming Language and the Eclipse Development Environment; and Microsoft Windows Phone 7, which will provide students with the knowledge and skills to develop mobile solutions by using Visual Studio .NET and the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework. In addition, a cross-platform tool for creating native apps such as PhoneGap and/or MonoTouch will be introduced. Students will create applications for each platform using the above described specialized development environments.
