ENVR-412 - Drinking & Industrial Water Processes3 credits Unit processes including aeration, coagulation- flocculation, sedimentation, softening, disinfection exchange, fluoridation, carbon adsorption, filtration, corrosion/scaling control, and chemical oxidation/reduction are studied. Local industries and their pollution sources, and the problems in drinking water supplies are covered as applicable to the above unit processes. Field trips will augment the lecture material. This course meets for three hours of class and three hours of lab each week.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM-101 or CHEM-103 ;
