CLLS-155 - Clinical Experience III

2 credits

A continuation in practice of skills learned in CLLS-150 and CLLS-153. A supervised clinical experience is obtained in a hospital clinical laboratory to enhance student learning and to apply classroom theory to the laboratory practice in a clinical setting. Experience will include medical laboratory safety and infection control, advanced specimen processing skills, advanced phlebotomy skills, instruction and performance of CLIA waived tests in all laboratory departments and use of laboratory information systems.
