MKT-230 - Retailing and Retail Management

3 credits
The major goals of the course are to enable the student to become a good retail planner and decision maker and to help focus on change and adaptation to change. The student will be introduced to the technical knowledge necessary for retail management. An overview of retailing is presented, including such vital areas as organizational structure, physical security, consumer behavior, personnel management, marketing research, merchandising, planning promotional activities, store planning and inventory control.
