This course provides the student with an opportunity to apply theory and evidence based research to the study of nursing and healthcare. This course emphasizes the importance of effective communication skills, safe practice, professional standards, and the nurse’s legal and ethical responsibilities as a member of the healthcare team within a systems based environment.
