NUR-124 - Issues in Nursing 11 credits NUR-124 serves as a foundation for discussing the historical and contemporary issues and trends that presently impact the profession of nursing. This course provides the student with an opportunity to apply theory and evidence based research to the study of nursing and healthcare. This course emphasizes the importance of effective communication skills, safe practice, professional standards, and the nurse’s legal and ethical responsibilities as a member of the healthcare team within a systems based environment.
