                | ESL-098 - Advanced ESL Reading3 creditsThis course is intended to continue the ESL student’s development of the reading process in preparation for college level reading in English. Four basic areas are emphasized: reading for pleasure, developing comprehension and critical thinking skills, expanding vocabulary , and reading faster. Student centered individual and group activities are used extensively in the classroom. Students chart their progress in terms of increasing reading rate. This is a developmental course. Credit for this course will not be counted toward fulfilling graduation requirements at STCC.
