Digital Media Production Video on Youtube

This degree program prepares students for careers in the ever changing Multimedia industry. Through lecture and lab students develop skills in all aspects of multimedia production and presentation in all the various forms it may take. Courses will cover various software applications; incorporating text; video and sound within a computer realm; web design; graphic design; and Internet multimedia possibilities. The emphasis of this degree program is to expose students to the wide variety of skills needed to succeed in the multimedia industry, as well as demonstrating the array of possibilities for careers in the ever changing Digital Media field.

 

Upon successful completion of the requirements for this program, the degree of Associate in Science in Digital Media Production Technology will be awarded.

Program Goals


  1. Have a fundamental understanding of the field of multimedia
  2. Have mastered the skills necessary to understand various software applications
  3. Have mastered the skills necessary to work in different multimedia environments
  4. Have developed the skills to work through a project from conception to prototype
  5. Have the ability to work within a client setting

Computer and Software Requirements


Due to the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic the Digital Media Production Department is requiring all incoming students, catalog year 20-21, purchase one of the following Apple iPads:

 

Highly Recommended:

2020 iPad Pro, 12.9 inch, 128GB with Wi-Fi: $899

Recommended:

2020 iPad Pro, 11 inch, 128GB with Wi-Fi: $749

Minimum (Please note a student may receive a supplemental assignment in some courses due to limitations of this model)

2020 iPad Air, 64 GB with WiFi, 64GB: $479 recommended upgrading space to 256 GB: $629
