Microcomputer Specialist - MCRC.COC

Successful completion of the following required courses would prepare the student for employment as a computer systems manager of a small- to medium-sized office. This could involve doing routine maintenance, upgrades of hardware and software, minor hardware repairs, and software installations, as well as having a solid foundation in several computer applications.

All entering CIT majors taking one or more CIT courses during the day will be required to purchase a Dell laptop that satisfies certain minimum specifications. The specifications will be provided students when they are accepted so they can determine whether they have a laptop that meets the requirements. In the event they don’t, a link will be provided to the Dell website so that students can purchase a computer directly from the company. Dell will accept Master Card/Visa or will also try to arrange a payment plan.

Upon the successful completion of requirements for this program, a Certificate of Completion in Microcomputer Specialist will be awarded.
