ENVR-325 - Occupational Safety3 credits A course of study intended to provide instruction on the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) general industry standards 29 CFR 1910 to entry-level participants. Primary topics include the OSHA Act and introduction to the OSHA standards. Study of personal protective equipment, material handling, hazard communication, machine guarding, hearing conservation, walking and working surfaces, and means of egress. Particular attention is given to the reading and application of the OSHA standards. After meeting the requirements, a certificate for successful completion is issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
