RDG-240 - Special Procedures in Radiopharmaceuticals2 credits This course is a continuation of RDG 112 - Radiographic Positioning 2. Advanced contrast media studies are introduced such as, HSG, arthrogram, urinary system imaging, biliary system, and myelograms. Advanced imaging modalities are introduced including Bone Densitometry, CT, MRI, Nuclear medicine, and PET scan. Student are introduced to the basic concepts of pharmacology, venipuncture and administration of diagnostic contrast agents and intravenous medications. The appropriate delivery of patient care during venipuncture is emphasized.
