RDG-113 - Equipment Operation and Maintenance2 credits This course introduces the principles of medical imaging with emphasis on basic radiation safety practices, the components of radiographic imaging equipment, how x-rays are produced and the selection of exposure factors. Additional concepts covered include automatic exposure control, radiographic grids, and mathematical principles related to dose and exposure. Lab sessions provide students with hands-on practice of the concept presented in class.
