NUR-224 - Issues in Nursing 21 credits NUR 224 provides a collegial environment through which the student has an opportunity to critically analyze and debate pertinent issues in nursing and health care relevant to transition into professional practice. Issues in professional practice are addressed including quality initiatives, legal and ethical responsibilities, politics in nursing, and civility in the workplace. Practice frameworks are utilized to empower the student to advocate for safe, effective, equitable and timely patient care.
Prerequisite(s): NUR-201 , BIO-235 , SOC-101 ;
Corequisite(s): NUR-221 ENG-102 and a (see program listing for suggested electives)
