BIO-203 - Neurobiology of Addictive Substances3 credits Provides a diverse overview of the science of addiction. It discusses the brain and its role in addiction, including the genetics, epigenetics, drug pharmacology and the cellular and molecular biology of drug addiction. States treatment options based on approaches that investigate addiction management, inclusive of the importance of eliminating stigma, which impedes treatment and recovery.
