NUR-221 - Nursing 49 credits NUR-221 focuses on patients, families and groups across the lifespan that are experiencing multisystem illnesses in a variety of settings. The student is expected to integrate the nursing curriculum competencies into practice. Students will function in the role of the nurse as a leader in the management of care. This course will conclude with a capstone project that will analyze the role of the nurse in addressing prevalent health issues. During this course, the student gains competency in nursing practice in areas that include the simulation center, acute care environments and in the community setting.
