CIT-162 - Networks Configuration and Design

This course will examine complex programmable network devices and how those devices are used to build network environments. Students will learn how to configure routers and switches. Topics will include: distance vector, link state and hybrid routing protocols, configuring virtual LANs utilizing 802.1q, access-lists, link aggregation, and configuring fault tolerant routing. Students will practice configuring network devices in a virtual environment and will get an option to work on real network devices. Students will also be introduced to network design.
