CIT-250 - Information Security Foundations3 credits This course will teach students about data protection and threats. The students will study the basic theory of information security. They will examine controls and frameworks used in modern computing to protect the integrity and confidentiality of data. Students will both study and execute network and server attacks to gain insight and experience. Students will also examine and implement defensive techniques like encryption, firewalls, authentication, authorization schemes, and accounting techniques.
Prerequisite(s): CIT-120 , CIT-130 and CIT-160 .
