ENG-228 - The City in Literature

The urban experience and its social, and educational realities are discussed through a variety of texts that exemplify life in the city. From urban fiction to formal sociological studies, the subtleties of the shadows that make up the urban landscape in what Sir Patrick Geddes recognized as “more than a place in space, it is a drama in time” are examined.

Prerequisite(s): ENG 102 (minimum grade C-).
